Incredible Hulk New Era Fitted Caps

New Era fitted caps are the coolest out there. New Era makes some really cool baseball caps. And I’m glad that they ventured to comic book heroes. For the Incredible Hulk, they have various designs. One of the more popular style is the Hulk vs Wolverine cap. They also have the Hulk New Era Cap in their popular 5950 style.

Hulk vs Juggernaut

Hulk vs Juggernaut - Marvel Comics Powerhouse

Hulk vs Juggernaut - Marvel Comics Powerhouse

Whenever I watch Animal Planet, National Geographic, or any other wilderness documentary, I’ve always thought that there’s nothing more amazing than watching two bulls or rhinos fighting over a territory or the right to mate. Whenever the alpha males of a herd are at each other’s throat, one-on-one, it is always a sight to behold.

For the same reasons, and quite literally, just to see who’s stronger, I enjoy seeing the Hulk go to town against another powerhouse. Sure he’s fought the Abomination in several comic books. And those are always fun. But the Marvel universe is filled with many other story arcs that have their own super villains.

In the X-Men universe, the Juggernaut is one of the strongest villains. He is not a mutant. His powers are mystical, derived from the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak. He is unstoppable once he begins moving forward, even if at walking speed. He is suppose to posses untold mystical prowess, enhancing his physical strength. He is also suppose to have a very high resistance to various forms of attacks. And he has the ability to surround himself with a force field for protection against physical harm.

The Incredible Hulk vs Juggernaut

One great thing about Marvel comics is that they have no problems with cross-overing their super heroes and super villains. The Hulk and the Juggernaut have actually faced each other at least at least seven times (Hulk #172, Hulk #402, Hulk #404, Hulk #457, Defenders Vol 2 #10, WW Hulk – X-Men #2, and WW Hulk – X-Men #3). The results are kinda mixed with a slight edge to the Hulk. For the most part, the fights were left unresolved or, at least, wanting. The speculation among fans continue. But to me, the clear winner is and should always be the Hulk.

TF&TF: Tokyo Drift Hulk Car

Could Twinkie be the ultimate Incredible Hulk fan?

In a movie about fast racing cars, the 2005 Volkswagen Touran driven by Twinkie (played by Bow Wow) stood out because it was “twinked” out to be a Hulk mobile.  It was a nice metallic green, of course.  In some shots, it kinda looked a light candy apple green.  Painted at the front was the angry face of the Incredible Hulk.  On the side and the back, the fists and foot of the Incredible Hulk were molded as if he was trying to break out from within and he had dented the enclosing walls of the car from inside.  It’s really neat to see.  Not sure if I’ll drive anything like it.  But it will definitely get you some attention.

Kotobukiya’s Hulk Fine Art Statues

One of the neatest collector items for comic book fans had been a fine art statue of their favorite super hero.  Kotobukiya, one of the world’s premier manufacturer of collectible figures from Japan, happened to have a suite of Marvel superhero collection in its lineup.  And 2008 they opened up an office in Los Angeles.

Since 1989, Kotobukiya had been marketing two popular brands of collectible figures: ArtFX Statues (vinyl) and Fine Art Statues (resin).  For the 2008 movie, they released three collectible Incredible Hulk Movie Fine Art Statues:

They also have a collection for Iron Man, Blade, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, X-Men, and the Punisher.  Along with Bowen Designs, there should be plenty of neat collector statues for Hulk and Marvel comic book fans.

Todd McFarlane and the Hulk

I quickly touched on the works of popular artist, Todd McFarlane, with the Incredible Hulk. Today, Todd McFarlane is well known for his own brand of products, among them is the superhero character, Spawn.

At some point, early in his career, Todd McFarlane worked for Marvel comics and he penciled Spider-Man, Wolverine, and the Hulk. If you haven’t had the chance to read Torment, buy the trade paper back. It’s fantastic piece of work.

HULK VS. THE MARVEL UNIVERSE TPB

One of the Marvel collections with the Hulk fighting other superheroes.  Perhaps just to answer the question: ¿Quién es más macho?  Hulk vs. the Thing! Hulk vs. Thor! Hulk vs. the Silver Surfer, Wolverine and more! Whether facing a tag-team match from the Fantastic Four and the Avengers or going one-and-one against Spider-Man and Daredevil, the Incredible Hulk’s the strongest one there is no matter who his opponents are! Also featuring the X-Men, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Fin Fang Foom!

Collecting FANTASTIC FOUR #25-26, JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #112, TALES TO ASTONISH #92-93, DAREDEVIL #163, INCREDIBLE HULK #300 AND #340, PETER PARKER: SPIDER-MAN #14; and HULK VS. FIN FANG FOOM #1.

Todd McFarlane is one of the artists who penciled these comic books.  The others are Jack Kirby, Marie Severin, Frank Miller, Sal Buscema, Todd McFarlane, John Romita Jr., and Jorge Lucas.

The Incredible Hulk on Wii Video Game

Incredible Hulk Wii Video Game

The Hulk and many other super heroes do not just grace the pages of comic books or the small or big screens. They are also fan favorites for video games. Lately, more often than not, anytime there’s a superhero movie coming out, a video game version comes out. And fans eat them up. Below is an article on a few superhero video games for the Wii, including the Incredible Hulk.

Super Hero Games for the Nintendo Wii

Super heroes have been around for a very long time in the form of comic books and action figures. They have found their way to the big screen and even to the world of video games. They are timeless and they never seem to go out of style. It seems in this world of good and evil there is always room for one more super hero to come along and save the day.

If you love super heroes you will be very excited to discover that there are plenty of Nintendo Wii games that fit into this category. The have wonderful effects so you can feel like you are a part of the game. You can bring the characters to life instead of just moving them around. You will likely get lost in the action that is going on.

One of the newest ones out there is Spiderman 3. Set in the city of New York, Spiderman is out there trying to save the day anyway he can. What is very original about this version of the game is that you can go with the regular suit or the black one that Spiderman wears in the movie. When Spiderman is wearing the black suit he is stronger and faster. Yet we all know there are ways in which that suit consumes him so you better be ready for them in the game.

There are complete storylines from the movie that you can play through if you wish to do so. If not, you will have the option to create your own scenes along the way. With this particular super hero game for the Wii you aren’t just trying to save others; you are trying to save Spiderman from himself as well. Will your desire for power be too much and lead to your own destruction? Will not using the black suit though mean you aren’t powerful enough at times to defeat the enemies? There are plenty of cool effects and plenty of great features found in this game that you will be quite impressed with.

If destruction is more your style the Incredible Hulk game may be what you are interested in. He is huge and green and can get very angry when things don’t go his way. Even though the Hulk is attempting to be helpful he leaves a mess every where he goes. You may be having a great time destroying everything in your path but you need to be careful. The more you destroy the more forces will be coming to take you out. That could mean your game ends before you have gotten to explore very much out there.

The game portrays the Incredible Hulk as more of a human than a cartoon version. In fact if you have see the newly released movie then you will understand that there is a connection between the two. It is no accident that this newly released Wii game came out around the same time as the movie hit theatres. Most people agree that they like this humanist form of the Hulk much better.

There is also Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. With this particular super hero game Harvey has to solve some tough cases. Are you up to the task of helping him do so? There are some that are relatively easy to solve and others that are going to take a great deal of concentration on your part. You can have a great time with this Wii game as well as enjoying sharpening your thinking skills.

The legacy of super heroes lives on with the many Nintendo Wii games. If you have a couple of favorites you can choose those games to play. It can be fun to be a part of those games instead of just reading about that super hero or watching them on TV. Nintendo has done a terrific job of bringing these images to life for people to really get into the game.

The Incredible Hulk TV Series On Hulu!

I love Hulu.  That’s where I typically catch the Daily Show with John Stewart.  Today, out of curiosity, I did a search for the keyword “Hulk” and … huzzah! There’s a list for seasons 1 & 2 of The Incredible Hulk TV series.  15 episodes for Season 1 and 23 episodes for Season 2.  I’m not sure how long they’ll be available since Hulu cycles through some materials.

The Incredible Hulk TV series had some gems to remember if you were lucky enough to have seen it on CBS back in the days.  For me, it’s the Lonely Man theme song because of its profound aura of sadness.  It really completed the struggle of Dr. David Banner played by Bill Bixby.  He’s always seen at the end, all by his lonesome, hitchhiking or walking along some deserted highway.

Why did the producers change the name of the Hulk’s alter ego from Dr. Bruce Banner to Dr. David Banner? From Wikipedia, the producer did so because he did not want the TV Hulk to be perceived as a comic book. Hmm…is anybody else buying this? There’s gotta be something more to it. That’s the lamest excuse. Everything about the TV series resonated the comic book. The Hulk was green and super strong. Dr. Banner transformed into the Hulk whenever he’s angry. The Marvel comic book superhero Thor made an appearance in one of the episodes. Despite not having a Betty Ross character, how did the producer think that the TV Hulk was not associated with the comic books?

The Hulk was played by Lou Ferrigno, a well-known bodybuilder and a rival of Arnold Schwarzenegger.  They just painted him green and used slow motion to portray the awesome power of the Hulk. Yes, it was all before CGI.

The Incredible Hulk TV Lonely Man Theme Song Clip

The Incredible Hulk movie made in 2008 paid homage to the Hulk TV series and used the Lonely Man theme in a scene.  That was pretty cool.

The Hulk vs Abomination

The Incredible Hulk movie was good for the Abomination.  Prior to its release, not too many movie goers were familiar with the reptilian looking gamma gangsta.

In a lot of ways, the Abomination’s looks had misled fans and movie goers because he seemed to be something born from water.  Greenish and reptilian-looking, in some drawings, his ears looked like gills kinda like the Creature from Black Lagoon.  But he’s not from the water.  Emil Blonsky became the Abomination from an exposure to gamma radiation, just like Dr. Banner.

Even in the movie, Tim Roth’s character transformed into the Abomination from a series of exposure to the blue serum and gamma rays.  The process was very similar to the one that turned Ed Norton’s Banner to the Incredible Hulk.  Unlike the Hulk, however, Blonsky’s changes were stable and permanent.  He had no ability to resort back to human form, but he kept his human senses and intelligence.  Presumably, he also maintained his fighting skills and training as a Soviet spy.

The Abomination was one of the few Marvel villains who can outmuscle the Hulk.  He did so in the movie and in some comic book issues.  He’s actually stronger than the Hulk if the Hulk had just transformed from Dr. Bruce Banner.  Eventually, the Hulk will outlast the Abomination and everybody else the madder the Hulk gets.

Because of their similar origins, the Hulk and the Abomination are kindred spirits in a sense.  Except that one was always trying to kill the other.

Hulk Underwear: Boxers or Briefs

This post is not so much whether or not the Hulk wears boxers or briefs, but its about YOU (and me) being able to wear an Incredible Hulk underwear as either boxers or briefs.  One late night, I happen upon a show here in California called Poorman’s Bikini Beach hosted by a popular radio DJ, Poorman, who I remember from KROQ back in its New Wave days in the 80s-90s.

In that night’s episode, there were these college kids, a whole lot of ‘em, who participate in an Undie Run.  Supposedly it was organized for relieving the stress of final exams.  In any case, two of the girls who were interviewed were wearing a matching set of Hulk underwear and shirt.  I just thought it was cool that they were wearing the Hulk.

Even more interesting is that there are all kinds of Hulk underwear in various prints and design to choose from.

Incredible Hulk Mask: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

When it comes to the Hulk mask, they are all actually pretty good since the Hulk is a badass.  He’s ugly, at least not the most handsome of all superheroes, but he’s badass and many fans wanna look like him on Halloween and in comic book conventions.  But there are more than one choices.
